In The Discovery of the Future, a 1902 lecture to the Royal Institution, visionary author HG Wells argued that the future could be known scientifically. Call it irrational optimism. Fast forward 111 years and still, a foundation in science does not seem to influence those whose worlds are defined by the two 15th century (Italianate) book keeping columns of Frater Luca Bartolmes. The big question for the conventional world of credit and debits and book value: is there a scientific alternative to using a 2x4 to get financial management's attention?

Joining in the conversation are Dale Furtwengler, a consultant's consultant specializing in bringing clarity to the value in intangible asset management; and Mary Adams, author, consultant, and Smarter Companies thought leader, and formerly a member of the Society's Reputation Leadership Council.

Jonathan Salem Baskin,  author of Tell the Truth, moderates. Learn more.

Product contents: MP3 audio file (~1 hour) and PDF slides (~4).
